Quick start guide

Once we’ve created your account follow these simple steps to start creating and distibuting HTML email campaigns.

Step 1

Login at http://campaign.lineindustries.com/

Log in

Step 2

In the top bar click on the “Create/Send” tab

Step 3

If this is your first campaign click on “Create your first campaign” otherwise click on the “Create a new campaign” button in the right hand column

Enter the following information:

Define the campaign

Name the campaign Give your campaign an easily identifiable name. The name you choose will appear when you view the reports for this campaign.

Enter the email subject line for this campaign This is what will appear in the Subject field in your recipients email client

Give the campaign a From Name
This is what will appear in the From field of your recipients email client when they receive this campaign.

Give the campaign a From Email address This is the email address your campaign will come from.

Give the campaign a Reply To address
If your recipients reply to this email, what email address should these replies be sent to? Make sure you use a valid address.

Click “Next”

Step 5

Select the format for your campaign the choices are:

a) Use one of my templates (we’ve added an example template to your account)
b) HTML and plain text
c) Plain text only

In this instance we’ll choose the example template and click “Next”

Step 6

Now you can edit the content within the template. Each editable area within the template has two icons next to it, click on the pencil icon to edit that area [show detail of icon]. You can now enter your text in the panel at the top of the page, once you’ve finished click “Save” and you’ll see the template update to show your new content.

To add a new content area click “Add new item” and follow the steps again. Alternatively to remove a content area click on the delete icon next to it.

Note that the number of editable areas will depend on the template you are using.

Once you’re done editing click “Preview email”.

Step 7

If you’re happy with the preview click “I’m done, return to the snapshot” alternatively to make more changes click “Make more changes”.

Step 8

The snapshot screen provides an over view of your campaign, now click on the button “Define recipients”.

Step 9

You have two options to either use an existing subscriber list or to enter addresses manually. For this example we’ll enter addresses manually. Choose that option and click “Next”.

Enter the email addresses of your recipients putting one on each line. Then click “Import these recipients”. Once you’re done click “Next”.

Step 11

You’ll be taken back to the snapshot screen, click “Test and define delivery”.

Step 12

Enter an email address to send a test email to then click “Send the test email”, the email will be sent to that address, if you’re happy click “Next”.

Step 13

You can now send your campaign immediately or schedule a time for delivery. To send it immediately click the button “Send campaign immediately”.

That’s it. You’ll see the confirmation screen and will now be able to review the reports.
