Global Lung Cancer Coalition

Expose variations between countries in terms of lung cancer and recovery.

Established in 2001, the Global Lung Cancer Coalition (GLCC) provides an international 'voice' for lung cancer patients, it comprises 28 non-governmental patient organisations from across the world.

Working in partnership

Working with the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and Incisive Health we developed the Global Lung Cancer Atlas.

The Atlas provides data from around the globe on the following key lung cancer indicators:

  • Incidence
  • Mortality
  • Survival
  • Existence of a cancer plan
  • Existence of a cancer registry
  • Implementation of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control

Exposing variations

And allows users to visualise that data and compare data from different countries. The Atlas exposes variations between countries in terms of lung cancer and recovery, it supports the case that much more needs to be done to improve the quality and consistency of lung cancer diagnosis, treatment and care.
