Offered: Internship Web Developer

We're offering interns the opportunity to gain experience and develop their skills.

You’ll be part of a small team giving you every opportunity to show your talent and gain experience of actual client projects, from start-ups to big-brand household names. You’ll need to be enthusiastic, like a challenge and keen to solve both creative and technical problems.

We’re looking for graduates who want experience or individuals toward the end of their course and who are required to undertake work experience. We are also interested in exceptional self-taught individuals who wish to gain experience. You should have a strong portfolio, which we will want to see, developed either as part of  your studies or work you’ve completed off you own back.

You should be fluent in HTML/CSS but you should also feel at home using design software.

Essential
•   (X)HTML/CSS skills and happy to hand-code
•   Have an interest in web trends/new technologies (CSS3/HTML5/Web Fonts)
•   Understanding of web standards and best practices
•   Familiar with Adobe Photoshop or Fireworks
•   Relevant education/experience
•   Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferably experience of
•   JavaScript experience (both coding and utilising frameworks, e.g. jQuery)
•   Cross-browser/multi device compatibility
•   Accessibility guidelines (WCAG and W3C)
•   Adobe Illustrator/InDesign
•   Version control software (we use Subversion)

This is a voluntary internship which we generally expect to last 2-3 months, we will reimburse reasonable travel expenses.
