Going-up and Going-down in
James' World

This month I take a look at what I think has been going-up and down.

Going-up

  • Facebook
Facebook fired a return volley of features in Google+'s bow. Status updates and the new visual timeline aim to keep users from jumping ship.

  • Twitter
Now integrated in iOS 5 and the new mango update on Windows Phone 7 there's no escaping the power of Twitter. (It's even on my Tivo and Xbox)

  • My Pinball Score
Finally, with practise, I got a higher score than Ceri!

Going-down

  • Blackberry
RIM's sales and network are both going down, the last few days people using Blackberrys have had no emails at all, causing havoc.

  • Google+
It's not getting widespread adoption as expected. Even the top Google executives are hardly using it!

  • 1&1
After having a massive network failure at a data centre, 1&1 proceeded to have a social network failure when they deleted customers facebook wall posts asking what was happening instead of keeping them updated.
